Who is North American Power?

North American Power was one of the fastest growing energy suppliers for homes and small businesses, and was named one of the most promising companies in America according to Forbes Magazine in 2011.

How can North American Power offer low energy rates on my electricity or natural gas?

When your state deregulated its energy market, it opened the industry to competition so that homeowners and businesses could shop for the best value. This has allowed companies like North American Power to buy energy in the wholesale markets and have control over the energy rates we can offer customers. Energy flows into the Local Power Pool and is delivered to your home or business by your local utility via existing lines just as it always has. The only difference will be a new enery rate on the supply portion of your bill.

When will my new North American Power supply rate officially take effect?

Once your utility has accepted your enrollment request, which should only take a few days, we'll send you a confirmation email that includes your start date with us. To avoid delays, please make sure you accurately enter all of your customer information while enrolling.

Will there be any interruptions to my energy service?

No. The transition from your local utility or previous retail energy supplier is seamless. Your home won't lose power, and there's no new equipment to buy. Your local utility will continue to read your meter and deliver your electricity or natural gas. Rest assured they'll continue to respond to any emergencies and outages just as they always have.

Is North American Power authorized to supply energy in my state?

North American Power is currently licensed, certified, deemed eligible, or registered to supply electricity and/or natural gas in Connecticut (PURA License Docket Number: 09-10-21), Georgia (NAP Gas Docket No 36550), Illinois (Docket 11-0675), Maine (Electric Charter No.: 20130147FC), Maryland (MD Electric License No: IR-1983), New Hampshire (Electric DM 12-138), New Jersey (Electric License # ESL0104 and Gas License # GSL0114), New York (Electric Letter of Approval from PSC dated 1/20/2011 and Gas Letter of Approval from PSC dated 12/29/2011), Ohio (OH electric certificate No.: 11-410E(3) and Gas: Certificate No.: 12-249G(3)), Pennsylvania (Electric License A-2010-2176743 and Gas License A-2176743), Rhode Island (Docket N.O: D-96-6), and Texas (REP Certificate No. 10207).

Will I have to pay two separate energy bills?

No, you'll still pay only one energy bill. Customers in Georgia and Texas will receive a monthly bill directly from North American Power, while all those in other states will continue to receive one bill from their local utility. “North American Power” will appear under the supplier portion of your statement.

Who do I call if there’s a problem with my service?
